The Office of Resident & Auxiliary Services oversees
several areas of resident life at International House – Riverside Front Desk,
Dining Services, IT, Mailroom, Public Room Rentals and the Pub. We are
currently recruiting for 2 positions in this department:
FRONT DESK AGENT
(full-time)
The FRONT DESK AGENT performs all Front Desk functions
(check-ins and check-outs, monitoring of payments and accounts, reception and
cashiering services) and works closely with other I-House offices to coordinate
arrivals/ departures and membership agreements.
This is a FULL-TIME, PERMANENT position with a comprehensive
benefits package. Ideal candidates will have experience in a similar position
in an educational/residential/hospitality environment. Must be intensely detail-oriented with
excellent, unflappable customer service skills.
The Front Desk is open from 8:00am - 8:00pm, Monday through
Saturday. The schedule for this position
is a combination of day and evening shifts, including weekends and
holidays. International House is located
at 500 Riverside Drive,
across from Grant's Tomb, near Riverside
Church and Columbia University.

MAIL CLERK
(on-call)
Sort/box mail for 700residents,
receive packages, staff service window.
Must have good customer service skills, some computer literacy, be able
to lift heavy packages (20+ lbs.).
