DATABASE MANAGER


The Office of Development & Alumni Relations is responsible for continuing the tradition of philanthropy on which the House was founded. The Office raises over one million dollars annually to support the wide variety of programs, services and resources available to I. House resident members. Contributions to the Annual Fund enable the House to subsidize the expenses of every resident member by approximately $2,500 each year, in addition to providing $400,000 in scholarships and fellowships to residents. This six-person team also raises funds for special programs, for capital projects, for the endowment and for other special projects.

The DATABASE MANAGER reports directly to the Director of Development & Alumni Relations and has responsibility for the following functions:

* Managing the Raiser's Edge database of 40,000 records supporting
   fundraising and alumni activities

* Producing reports

* Entering gifts

* Researching alumni

* Creating acknowledgments

* Tracking income/expenses

* Reconciling budget reports with the Finance Office

Position requires extensive knowledge of Raiser's Edge 7.85 and significant experience interfacing with relational databases and MS Word/Excel.
