Naming Opportunities at International House
International House is committed to attracting the most qualified and diverse resident members from across the globe. To help meet this vital goal, the House offers meaningful scholarship aid and organizes an array of dynamic educational and cultural programs each year. The generosity of alumni, Trustees, friends, corporations and foundations has made this possible for over 80 years and we are proud to recognize the support of our most committed leadership donors by naming resident rooms and scholarship funds in their honor.

The Named Room Program
|
Named Room donors ensure that residents in need receive meaningful financial assistance to help them fully participate in the I. House community. By greatly alleviating the financial burden many residents face, Named Room donors have a direct effect on students’ ability to focus on their studies, further enhancing these young people’s contribution to the House and their fellow residents’ experiences. |
 |
|
For a leadership gift of $25,000 or more, payable over up to three years, Named Room donors may have their names inscribed on a specially designed ceramic plaque permanently installed outside a designated resident room. Donors may choose an image for their plaque and may opt to name their room in honor or in memory of a loved one or after a country, state or city, a company or a charitable foundation.
Over 100 rooms have been named at International House through this Program, and generations of residents have been inspired by the substantial commitments these donors have made.

Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded each year to new and returning resident members with demonstrated financial needs. The Resident Scholarship Funds from which these grants are made have been named by and in honor of some of the House’s most dedicated advocates and have supported the academic and professional pursuits of countless residents over the years.
Donors interested in establishing a named Resident Scholarship can do so with a gift of $10,000 or more, payable over up to three years. Scholarship donors may opt to restrict funds for students who are studying in a certain discipline or are from a particular geographic area, although unrestricted scholarship aid is the House's greatest need.
Program and Resident Fellowships
For residents who take leadership roles within the I. House community, serving as Program or Resident Fellows, Fellowship stipends are available. Each year, the team of selected Fellows assists in the operations of the House and in organizing programs for resident and non-resident members. These committed individuals are essential in furthering the goals and mission of International House while simultaneously contributing to a lively, engaging and welcoming environment for all residents.
A Program or Resident Fellowship may be established with a gift of $10,000 or more, payable over up to three years. To determine the greatest area of need for Fellowship funds, please contact the I. House Development Office at jwells@ihouse-nyc.org.
Program Funds
Many of the activities and programs organized by the House are made possible through the support of endowed Program Funds. The diverse array of lectures, performances and other events featuring distinguished participants from around the world are an integral part of the I. House experience, offering resident members a wide variety of opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Program Funds are available to be named on a very limited basis. Contact the Development Office at jwells@ihouse-nyc.org for more information.
