Giving Options Outside of the United States 

International House is pleased to offer alumni and friends living in  Belgium, Canada, Germany and the United Kingdom several ways to give tax-free to International House.

Belgium

As of January 1, 2010, we are no longer accepting gifts through the King Baudouin Foundation. Those who have already made a gift through the foundation will be acknowledged after January 1, 2010. Thank you for your support! 

Canada

Gifts made to Canadian Friends of I. House support two scholarships that are given directly to Canadian residents:

The MacGuigan Scholarships support Canadian citizens or permanent residents who exemplify Justice Mark MacGuigan’s values of volunteerism, public service and leadership. The grant is given in memory of Canadian Friends Founder Mark R. MacGuigan, a distinguished I. House alumnus whose career included terms as a professor, Secretary of State for External Affairs and Minister of Justice.

The McLaine Scholarships support Canadian citizens or permanent residents of East and Central European background who exhibit leadership potential through active participation in the I. House community and a demonstrated interest in promoting better relations with Central/Eastern Europe. This grant is given in memory of Alan P. McLaine, a distinguished I. House alumnus who was Canadian Ambassador to several East European countries.

Germany

Gifts made to Freunde des International House, e.V. support distinguished programs at I. House and scholarships for needy residents from the developing world at International House. While recipients are designated by Freunde at its annual meeting, these scholarships are administered by the Admissions Office and applied to residents' I. House fees.

Alumni living in the United Kingdom can make tax-deductible gifts through Friends of International House, United Kingdom (FIHUK). Gifts made through FIHUK support the Annual Fund Campaign and will be used where I. House needs it most.
