Room Types & Rates
International House is comprised of two adjacent buildings known as I. House South and I. House North. The rates for both I. House South and I. House North vary according to factors described below, such as the size of the room or apartment, which floor the room is on and whether or not the room or apartment has a park or river view.

Single rooms in I. House South are completely furnished with a desk, bed, dresser, bookcase, lamp, chair, telephone, linens and towels. The average room size is 8' x 11' (2.4m x 3.4m) and some rooms have sinks. There are shared single-sex bathroom facilities on the floor. Five floors are designated as non-smoking floors which means that smoking is prohibited anywhere on the floor. The other floors permit smoking in individual resident rooms only.

I. House North

I. House North is an apartment style building with studio and one-bedroom apartments and 3, 4 or 5 bedroom apartment suites. All rooms and apartments are completely furnished and include utilities. Kitchenware is not provided. Preference is given to those applying to stay at least one full semester.
Studio and one-bedroom apartments are completely furnished with full bathrooms and kitchens. Studios are approximately 16' x 12' (4.9m x 3.6m) and one-bedroom apartments are approximately 22' x 23' (6.7m x 7.0m). Priority for these is given to returning residents and couples and families applying for the first time.
Single rooms in apartment suites with shared kitchens and bathrooms for 3 to 5 people are fully furnished and range in size from 10' x 13' (3.0m x 3.9m) to 14' x 16' (4.3m x 4.9m). There are also a limited number of rooms with private bathrooms.
