Alumni Membership

Would you like to continue to participate in I. House’s non-invitation events and programs such as Cultural Hours, ballroom dancing, Summer Socials? Do you miss having access to the gymnasium, sports equipment, and classes?

Alumni members can continue to enjoy all of these benefits for an annual fee of $75 for the first year immediately following I. House departure or $125 for the second year and thereafter.

With an alumni membership, you will have access to I. House between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. You also will be able to eat in the dining room, go to the Pub, and study in HR Commons; due to space limitations, however, you may not use the Computer Lab, the Fröhlich Fitness Center, Music Practice Rooms or the Resident Kitchen.

Alumni members may not attend particular programs or events that have been designated as exclusive to resident members, such as Community Weekends and most field trips. A limited number of tickets for events such as Sunday Suppers (fee ticket) and speaker programs are offered based on space availability.

Why is your gift important? Not only will you enjoy all the benefits of an alumni membership, but your gift will go toward the Annual Fund Campaign, helping to ensure residents' continued participation in these wonderful programs year after year.

Contributions to the Annual Fund from alumni like you enable the House to subsidize the expenses of every resident member by approximately $2,500 per year and provide $400,000 in scholarship and fellowship aid to new and returning residents.

Alumni membership applications are reviewed by the Admissions Committee to confirm good standing and will, in most cases, be processed within a week.
