An I-House Membership (for Alumni and Associates) offers a wonderful opportunity to stay connected and continue benefiting from our student housing in New York while receiving exclusive access to select I-House amenities, special events and programs.
- $75 for first-year membership
- $150 for membership renewal
- $30 for Alumni dining card – first year Alumni to transfer dining money over to card.
- $20 to replace a lost/stolen card
Please be aware that memberships are nonrefundable.
All former Residents of International House New York who stayed for a minimum of 30 consecutive days and are in good standing* with the House are eligible for an Alumni membership. Affiliates of I-House NYC and I-Houses worldwide are eligible for an Associate membership.
*Alumni membership applications are reviewed by the Admissions Office for approval.
Access: Alumni Members may access the House any time between 8:00am and 10:00pm. Any member staying past 10:00pm must be signed in as an overnight guest by a Resident as per the guest policy.
Events: Alumni Members are welcome to attend select events and programs, including the documentary film screenings, speaker events, Fall Fiesta, All Nations and Sunday Suppers (pending availability of tickets) for a guest fee. Frohlich Gymnasium: Alumni Members are welcome to use the gymnasium at their will (pending availability and Resident program schedule).
Conduct: Alumni and Associate Members are asked to abide by all applicable policies and procedures regarding conduct that are stated in the International House guest policies and procedures. Any infringements to these rules may result in revocation of membership.
Public Areas: Does not include access to the Resident floors (unless signed in and accompanied by a current Resident), computer lab, Frohlich Fitness Center, bike storage room, Resident music practice rooms, or community kitchens.
Programs: Alumni/Friends membership does not include participation in programs and events exclusive to Residents.
Access: Alumni/Associate members are required to check-in at the reception areas (Riverside Desk & Claremont Desk). ID cards will be retained at the desk during your stay and returned upon your departure from the building. Alumni/Associate membership does not include access to online Resident resources – please join I-House Alumni Connect – the online alumni community.
Guests: Alumni/Associate members may sign in one guest per visit. Guests are required to leave a photo ID at the front desk, which will be retained upon entry and returned upon departure. We request that Alumni/Associate members accompany their guests at all times and inform them of the rules and regulations of I-House. All guests must depart before or when their hosts leave the premises.
