I-House will always be your home!
We look forward to the day when we can welcome back our Alumni for a visit to the House. Post-pandemic: If you are traveling to New York City, we hope you will consider stopping by 500 Riverside Drive and taking a walk down memory lane. For more information on your visit or stay, see the FAQ below.
Yes! We love when Alumni stop by for a visit. And bring your entire family. Alumni may visit the House Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm We ask that if you are planning on “dropping in,” please arrive through the Riverside Entrance located at 500 Riverside Drive. The Alumni Office will be happy to take you around on a guided tour or allow you to explore on your own. Upon arrival, simply tell the Front Desk Assistant that you are an alumnus of the House and would like to take have a look around. A member of our staff will meet you and your party. Should you want to plan a tour ahead of time please call 212-316-8425 or email alumni@ihouse-nyc.org.
Not a problem! If you are an alum and would like to visit the House outside of regular business hours, please call the Alumni Office at 212-316-8425 or email alumni@ihouse-nyc.org to make arrangements.

During the summer months (May through August) a limited number of single occupancy student rooms with a shared bathroom on the floor, or double occupancy studio, or one-bedroom apartments are available for a maximum of 20 nights. A minimum age of 18 is required. Please note that reservations for short-term stays (20 nights or less) in Resident rooms can only be made 10 days or fewer prior to arrival.
Please note that the Resident rooms/apartments are not air conditioned and do not come with housekeeping service.

If you’re looking for the perfect location for an upcoming wedding, concert, reception or meeting, look no further than International House We offer several public spaces, each with a unique feel.
Rooms available for rental include the:
- the Dodge Room
- the Home Room
- the Hall of History (Davis Hall Foyer)
- and Davis Hall
Due to limited space the House is committed to providing its residents the highest quality experience, the House gives preference to those events that are most compatible with its mission. The House’s academic and summer programs receive priority for all facilities at all times. Because International House is a private residence, all events must end by 11 p.m.
Alumni of International House receive a discount on all public room rentals.
