Serving Up “Friendsgiving” at I-House 2020

As a Fall treat for our Residents, I-House teamed up with The Migrant Kitchen, a social good food company based in Brooklyn, to provide a taste of American Thanksgiving.  On Tuesday, November 24th, Residents picked up their free, individually wrapped meals. Observing social distancing guidelines, the giveaway was facilitated in the spacious Main Lounge with staggered pickup times.

One happy Resident was Louisa Ong (Singapore), a data scientist studying at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), who expressed her appreciation with us and shared how the giveaway event kicked off the holiday season.  For many international Residents, this was their their first time enjoying the traditional Thanksgiving meal of roast turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, cornbread stuffing cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie.
