This picture was taken in the Fall of 1930 of a “Jewel Pageant,” an event with International House residents representing their native countries through costume and a display of rough and cut stones.
Recently, from an alum we learned that the Jewel Pageant carried through to the early 2000’s (at least). As work continues on the I-House Archives, we anticipate finding more images like this one from throughout the years and being able to share them with the global community.
