WIL (Women’s International Leadership) is a program offered to current Residents at International House NY that provides a forum for aspiring women leaders to share challenges, successes and strategies for leading in ever-changing workplaces. It is a unique opportunity to delve into this topic with women from diverse backgrounds and fields of study. As a WIL Fellow, you can:
- Explore your leader identity. Take stock of your strengths and weaknesses, values and behaviors, and the ways in which you influence others.
- Build professional skills. Gain new skills in salary negotiation, craft your digital identity, develop strategies for resilience, and more.
- Grow your network. Initiate a mentor relationship, connect with influencers during exclusive WIL events, and join a peer circle of 500+ WIL Alumnae.
Since its inception in 1990, WIL has made it possible for more than 500 diversely talented women from all over the world to gain specialized skills and valuable training, preparing them for leadership roles in business, government, and civil society in their respective nations.

Bayer AG has sponsored the Women’s International Leadership Program (WIL) for nine years. It is among the world’s foremost innovators in healthcare and medical products, and combines the global activities of the Animal Health, Consumer Care, Medical Care and Pharmaceuticals divisions.
The goals of the WIL Program, with its focus on skills-based leadership training for a culturally diverse group of women, are consistent with Bayer’s goals of increasing diversity and creating an environment that fosters more women leaders.
