A Visit from EY’s Martin Fiore, Author of Humanity Reimagined

by International House

On Wednesday, March 2, 2022, International House welcomed author Martin Fiore to Davis Hall to discuss his recent book, Humanity Reimagined. For years, Fiore, an executive with Ernst & Young LLP (EY), has been advising business leaders about technological trends that are reshaping our world—from artificial intelligence and the rise of autonomous systems to human/machine convergence in medical treatments and business applications. In Humanity Reimagined, Fiore explores how these trends have been disrupting the world of work, academia, and global economics, as well as having an impact on basic human values, such as trust and privacy.

I-House president Sebastian Fries welcome the attendees and introduced Fiore. With residents attending in person and more of the I-House global community attending online, Fiore described how the new environment and dynamic pose both challenges and opportunity for students, community activists, and current and future leaders at all levels and in all walks of life. As usual, residents were given the opportunity to ask questions about the topics and meet the author in a private reception.  Attendees came away with a sense of how individuals today could take control of this future to enhance their creativity, empathy, and freedom. The event was part of the International House Page Turner series of programming and was co-sponsored by EY.
