Over the past century, International House has hosted countless guest speakers, some on the cusp of making history and others who, at the time of their visit, were already global influencers. On Thursday, January 11, 2018, I-House added to this incredible history by hosting former U.S. Secretary of State and Dr. Henry Kissinger for a candid conversation with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria. International House Remembers Tatsuro Toyoda ’58

It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Tatsuro Toyoda, an International House Alumnus (’58) who went on to lead his family’s company, Toyota Motor Corp., to become one of the world’s leading automakers. Toyoda lived at I-House in 1958 while studying at Columbia University after earning his MBA at New York University. He was named an International Trustee in 1991 and served as Honorary Chair of the World Council of Alumni Meeting in Tokyo in October 2012. I-House Ones to Watch: Lizzie O’Shea ’17, Attorney, Activist and Author

International House Alumna Elizabeth “Lizzie” O’Shea moved to New York in August 2015 to begin her Masters program at Columbia University, studying Law. She had previously worked in New Orleans, volunteering with prisoners on death row who didn’t have legal representation, and was named a Fellow in the Columbia Law Human Rights Program.
