The Resident Council
The Resident Council serves to advise the President on the affairs of International House by communicating the views and concerns of Residents in the spirit of partnership. Nominations for all positions open in September, with elections held in October.

Create a Work Request Ticket – Request assistance with maintenance issues, including the installation/removal of air conditioners. We use the Upkeep mobile maintenance application to to initiate and track service requests.

Be aware of some of the key policies all Residents should know:
Resident members of International House are carefully selected by the Admissions Committee to create a diverse community that is committed to the ideals of cross-cultural exchange, friendship, tolerance, respect, empathy and moral courage. As a Resident at I-House, you are not a tenant and International House is not a landlord. You are a member of a community devoted to a mission.
International House is a non-profit organization in which all Residents are substantially subsidized by philanthropic contributions to supplement Resident Fees. Community life is different than living independently: each Resident Member has duties and responsibilities to others in the community. Understanding of and respect for community norms and practices, along with some degree of compromise in the face of individual desires, are critical to having an optimal experience at I-House and are required.
