The following Privacy & Accessibility Statement governs all pages hosted at www.ihouse-nyc.org.

Our goal is to provide our website visitors with information about our organization in a straightforward manner. We do not use cookies to gather information about you. Visitors are not required to register to access the public site.

Online Donations

We value your online donations and are committed to ensuring the safety and security of your transactions. International House follows all applicable laws, as well as standard practices and industry protocols which make it extremely difficult for your information to be intercepted. When making an online contribution we ask for your name, mailing address, e-mail and credit card information. All information is encrypted with SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption technology and transmitted to us in a secure way. None of this information is captured or stored on the public website server.

We ask for personally identifiable details only to process and acknowledge your gift and as a means of contacting you if there are any problems. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, processing the donation) are granted access to this information. The servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment with limited access by staff.

International House uses outside vendors to process credit card donations online. All vendors are obligated to adhere to our strict standards of privacy.

Resident Applications

We are committed to ensuring the safety and security of everyone who applies to become a Resident of International House.  International House follows all applicable laws, as well as standard practices and industry protocols which make it extremely difficult for your information to be intercepted. When completing an application online, all the information you provide is encrypted with SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption technology and transmitted to us in a secure way. None of this information is captured or stored on the public website server.

We ask for personally identifiable details only to process your application and as a means of contacting you regarding your application status. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, processing applications) are granted access to this information. International House sends occasional updates, invitations, and appeals to the e-mail address provided. You may unsubscribe from receiving e-mails from International House at any time. Unsubscribe information is also provided in each e-communication.

You can remove your name from our mailing lists or update your information with us at any time.

Third Party Protection/Mailing Lists

International House does not exchange names with similar non-profit organizations. In the case of memorial or in-honor contributions, we will send a letter to the designated recipient informing them of the gift.
