Meet the I-House Resident Support Services Team!

Each academic year, International House selects a number of dedicated Residents within the I-House community to lead as Fellows through their service on the Resident Support Services team. These Fellows play a key role in carrying out the the I-House mission, acting as liaisons to the Office of Programs and Resident Life and the other I-House departments working to provide a meaningful experience for the Resident members. Dr. Tassu Shervani Speaks at I-House on the Future of Work

On Thursday, March 8, 2018, a few days before spring break, Dr. Tassu Shervani, a Marilyn and Leo Corrigan Endowed Professor at the Cox School of Business at SMU in Dallas, came to International House to speak about “The Future of Work.” The event started at 7pm with a reception followed by Dr. Shervani’s talk at 7:30pm. International House Remembers Ruth W. Houghton

The International House community was saddened to learn of the passing of Ruth W. Houghton, who died December 28, 2020 in Great Barrington, MA at age 92. Mrs. Houghton was a Life Trustee on the I-House Board of Trustees. A native New Yorker, Mrs. Houghton served on the boards of numerous cultural and non-profit organizations including the New York State Council on the Arts, Lincoln Center, New York Shakespeare Festival, and the Fresh Air Fund. Alumni Enjoy Virtual “I-House Year-End Pub Party”

On December 23rd, Martina Schmitz ’87 hosted a virtual “I-House Year-End Pub Party” via Zoom. More than 30 Alumni and friends, many from the 1980s and 90s, logged on from countries that included Egypt, France, Germany, Iceland, Lebanon, Portugal, the UK and the USA to enjoy musical performances, random break-out groups, and an I-House trivia quiz. Donor Match to Double Support for International House NY

The 2020 holiday season at International House kicked off on a particularly heartfelt note on Giving Tuesday, a global day of philanthropy, with a compelling and personal call to action from Interim President and I-House Trustee, Brian Polovoy, who generously matched every gift received that day.
