Alumni Enjoy Virtual “I-House Year-End Pub Party”

On December 23rd, Martina Schmitz ’87 hosted a virtual “I-House Year-End Pub Party” via Zoom. More than 30 Alumni and friends, many from the 1980s and 90s, logged on from countries that included Egypt, France, Germany, Iceland, Lebanon, Portugal, the UK and the USA to enjoy musical performances, random break-out groups, and an I-House trivia quiz. Ayman Jarjour ’00 (pictured) performed “Little Drummer Boy” on guitar, and pianist Armando Merino ’86 played a piece by Catalan composer Federico Mompou. I-House Senior Advisor John Wells shared photos of snowy New York scenes and introduced Interim President Brian Polovoy, who conveyed season’s greetings and an update on activities at the House. The event wrapped up with a showing of the 1949 International House film, and Alumni stayed online well past the conclusion to converse and reminisce.
