One thing our residents often do not know until they arrive is that International House offers a free and robust suite of support services to all resident members of the I-House community. Under the auspices of the Global Health & Wellness Services (GHWS) office and led by its director, Lorraine Pirro, MA, LCSW, our team is available to assist residents with any topics or concerns they may experience. Highlights from All Nations 2022
On Saturday, April 23, 2022, International House brought back the beloved tradition of All Nations. Typically held at the end of each academic year, All Nations is I-House’s biggest event, bringing together the I-House community to enjoy a night of food, dancing, and cultural booths, produced by resident volunteers in coordination with the Office of Programs & Resident Life. I-House Announces the 2022 Projects for Peace Prize Winners
International House is pleased to announce the ten residents who have received funding through the Projects for Peace program to implement their own grassroots projects this coming summer.
Projects for Peace is the vision of the late Kathryn Davis ‘32, an I-House alumna who, on her 100th birthday in 2007, launched this program at over 90 college campuses. Each year, the program awards $1 million to 100 student projects, in the amount of $10,000 each, which is channeled through partner colleges and universities. Candlelight Sunday Supper Returns
After a two-year hiatus, International House celebrated the return of a beloved legacy event, Candlelight Sunday Supper, on May 1, 2022. About 250 residents, staff, and special guests gathered for the traditional family-style supper in the spacious Davis Hall to cap off a remarkable year. Attendees were required to provide proof of vaccination in order to participate.
